Stylegala, Style Your Visited Links!

We fight for a better WWW. We fight for standards-compliance. We fight for usability. We fight for usable sites, which are easy to navigate through. We do not want to get confused and lost while browsing through any site. We do not want to get confused and lost while browsing through Stylegala.

I’m pretty sure all of you know and visit Stylegala. I know I do, pretty much every day. It’s right here in my inspirational “CSS Showcase/Resource” folder, right next to WSA. If you click for a minute or two around the Gala, browse their gallery, the news, you’ll be OK. But, the more time you spend there, the more hard it is to navigate. Eventually, you won’t be really sure which site in the gallery you’ve visited and which news item you’ve decided to read. Why? They did not style their visited links. Shame on them.

To make my stay at the Gala more enjoyable, I use a user stylesheet with the following line:

a:visited { color: #777; }

Now, why on earth do I need to do this myself? Why don’t they do everyone a favor and insert this line (or similar) into their stylesheet? Stylegala, style your visited links, will you? Please?
