We want to know what you are about

I bumped into another blog that did not include the about page. A word of advice: you’re not doing anyone a favor by omitting your personal info. We want to know something about you if we’re gonna read your articles and posts. Your name, age and a word or two about you is quite enough. Anything less is usually not.
Personally, I’ll most probably leave your site and never come back if it does not include the about page. If you have the need to hide your name or/and age, then I do not have the need to read anything you have to say.
I couldn’t agree more.
Personal photo is preferable, too. People certainly wouldn’t want a blind date feeling if they are going to meet you in person.

Yes, that is my point. With your site, you’re communicating with the world. If you talk to someone in person, you always get acquainted first.

You couldn’t be more right my friend. Btw. Very nice Web site. Keep up the fine work.

I always read “about me” pages when I stumble into artist galleries, because I want to know two important informations: age of artist and whether (s)he is educated or self-taught. A lot of people hide their age. Why so?
P.S. I’m writing this comment just so I could say that Zaboky design is beautiful! And a very pretty pattern as well.

Well.. then I have a different opinion. I never actually read ‘about me’ pages as I don’t think it’s important. I read articles and that’s it. I don’t need to know anything about the author plus I don’t have time for that. I just read what I need to read.
